What Is an Intensive Outpatient Program?

Is intensive outpatient care right for me?

If these apply to you, attending our IOP for addiction treatment could be the next step.

  • I’ve completed inpatient care or a PHP and want additional support
  • I’m fully committed to my recovery and want to develop more skills
  • I need more treatment hours than traditional outpatient rehab offers
  • I’ve got a strong support system I can rely on at home

What to Expect In Our IOP

It can take more than an acute treatment program or hospitalization to heal from substance abuse. Our IOP offers comprehensive daytime therapy to prepare you for life in recovery.

IOP patients participate in at least nine hours of therapy each week. You’ll meet with medical professionals, work through one-on-one sessions with your therapist, and attend skills-based group therapy sessions focused on developing strategies for everyday sober living.

Excellent

The Recovery Village of Columbus taught me many skills to live my life to the fullest! The facilitator and counselors are great, the kitchen staff is phenomenal, and nursing staff are attentive to your needs. There are some procedures that need some work, but overall a great place.
I was very nervous when I first got inthere, but I was made to feel like I was in a safe place right away. Most of the staff are laid back, and easy to get along with. They show that they are willing to give you freedoms until you prove you are a danger to yourself or others. Do not do that and your time there should be pleasant and life changing. I honestly believe you get what you put in. So if you can become a part of the community, and share, honestly and openly about your experiences, fears, and feelings, just be real, and you will walk away with skills to help you manage your life , for the rest of your life. If you continue to practice them after you are discharged is up to you.
The staff was very nice, helpful, and understanding. Went above and beyond what I would have expected to help me get into Treatment. And I am on my way now.... and can't wait to get there !!
Some of the most AMAZING people I have ever had the chance of encountering. Super attentive and very intentional. They understand that it is DEEPER than just treatment. It's about community and from what I see they have a strong one..My stay at this facility changed my life FOREVER...I can't say enough about the staff and the way they constantly and consistently handled me on daily basis, with so much care..My life will forever be changed because of what I was able to learn there. If you are SERIOUS about your recovery then Recovery Village is definitely the place to be.. But make sure you are ABSOLUTELY SERIOUS about your recovery because if you're not then the only person you're gonna fool is YOU!!
Response from the owner:Thank you for your kind words! We’re so glad you felt the sense of community and intentional care that we strive to provide. Recovery is about more than treatment, and it’s wonderful to know our team made a meaningful impact. Wishing you continued success and strength on your journey!
Staff were professional, kind, and caring. Counselors were fantastic. Celebrating one year of sobriety. Nurses were very proactive when my oxygen level was at 80 percent. Called me a squad. I died on the way to the hospital. Nurses quick response helped bring me back to life. So many thanks.
Not a day goes by that I don't think about the time I spent at Recovery Village. I'm currently 228 days sober. The entire staff was amazing. At no time did I feel like I was in my battle alone. I would love to return and volunteer, and tell my story. As I said before. You will not find a better staff to help you. I was able to learn something from each counselor. The BHT'S were also amazing. Recovery Village. Thank you for a better life. If I can ever give back. Please let me know!!!
